Hey Guys, bad news. Remember those Lost labels we made back in February? It turns out that the Hanso Foundation got a little jealous of the attention. We just got a letter in the mail outlining in no uncertain terms that they’re serious about protecting the identity of the Dharma Initiative. We’ve been told we have to remove the downloads, so we’ve taken down the PDF’s of the labels. It was fun while it lasted, but we don’t want to get involved in a giant legal battle – you never know when these guys are just gonna send a polar bear after us. Here’s the letter, so you can see what we’re up against -

Dear Mr. Keay:
I write on behalf of DHARMA Initiative Hanso Group (collectively, the Hanso Foundation). It has come to our attention that you are using the Hanso Foundation’s intellectual properties in connection with downloads that you are offering on your internet website.
The DHARMA brandmark is a trademark of The Hanso Foundation, which has strict policies forbidding unauthorized reproduction and distribution of its copyrighted works. Your manufacturing of downloads featuring DHARMA Industries brandmark, including “Dharma Industries” crest, violates international copyright laws, and absues trademarks and/or unfair business practices.
You must immediately cease distribution of all DHARMA products on your website by April 26, 2007 and send me written confirmation that you will comply with the foregoing and will not resume the use of any products containing or utilizing the trademarks of the Hanso Foundation or any of its subsidaries.
Respectfully,
Hugh McIntyre
